Natalie Bryant
If you’re like me, you tend to try to think yourself out of your problems. We think ourselves in circles, and wind up completely exhausted and no closer to a solution. It feels like something is missing—a missing piece of the puzzle. If only you could think of it…
My work helps people find that missing piece. By letting go of our thinking minds and coming into the present moment in the body, we can access deep and surprising wisdom. I utilize techniques such as mindfulness, somatic awareness, acceptance and commitment therapy,
feminist therapy, and parts work to empower people to find a deeper sense of knowing, authenticity, wholeness, and rest.
A little bit about me: Prior to pursuing my counseling degree, I received my PhD in cognitive psychology at University of Arizona with a specialization in sleep and dreaming. I also underwent training in Inner Relationship Focusing in 2020, and became a Unified Mindfulness Level 2 Coach in 2021. I am delighted to work with Tucson Counseling Associates as it aligns with my goal to provide person-centered, LGBTQIA+ allied, trauma-informed, anti-racist care.
I work with a variety of adult populations as this approach serves all walks of life, but it is particularly effective for addressing trauma and the negative self-talk that underlies depression and anxiety. In our sessions, we create a safe space of unconditional acceptance in the therapeutic setting, which becomes the basis for how you feel within yourself. From this place, deep transformation and healing is possible.
