Irene

Hello there! I believe one of the most effective tools in therapy is having a safe and trusting relationship with your therapist. So to get to know each other, here are some tidbits about me…I’m born and raised in Arizona. I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I have over five years experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health. I am passionate about social justice and confronting systems of oppression. When I am not working, I love to be outside, do art, and spend time in my community.

I believe all of my clients have the power to change, grow, and heal within themselves. I view my role as a therapist to help support and partner with my clients along their self-determined journey. When working together, I provide a compassionate and light hearted demeanor in order to help you process through your thoughts and feelings. I will hold space for your intersectional identities and how they inform your experience. During our sessions, we will explore areas of your life in which you don’t feel you are thriving, while also identifying your inner strengths and worthiness.

I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, substance use, identity, and co-occurring disorders. I utilize a variety of modalities including attachment, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and acceptance-commitment therapy. I am passionate about the importance of relationships in our lives and have provided couples therapy, family therapy, and parent-child relationship therapy.
