Psychedelic Integration Services (available at our Mabel and KAP clinic only)
Hello, and thank you for your interest!
Psychedelic medicines are now being used for a variety of reasons, including trauma resolution, therapeutic and spiritual exploration, creative problem solving, and much more. Many people have eye-opening and mind-expanding experiences using psychedelics, and without professional support in integrating new awarenesses, uncovered memories, and previously hidden traumas, these experiences can be forgotten or under-utilized.
Though we are seeing efforts to decriminalize them, most psychedelic medicines are currently still illegal and are not being used in psychotherapy outside of clinical trials. While we acknowledge that they are currently illegal, we also understand how powerful these molecules can be, and know that people will engage them despite legal barriers.
With this in mind, we at Tucson Counseling Associate support a person’s choice to use these molecules at their own discretion, and will help discuss and process those experiences through our Psychedelic Integration services, which are different from Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.
We offer short term (6-8) sessions for integration therapy. Please keep in mind that these sessions are traditional 50 minute talk therapy (utilizing whichever modalities your therapist is proficient in), aimed at processing and/or integrating an upcoming independent session or a previous independent session. AS MOST PSYCHEDELICS ARE ILLEGAL OUTSIDE OF CLINICAL TRIALS, THESE SESSIONS DO NOT INVOLVE THE PRESENCE OF ANY PSYCHEDELIC MOLECULES.
If you are interested in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, with the presence of a psychedelic molecule during the session, we are offering Ketamine psychotherapy sessions. Find out more here.
